Clipstone is open Tuesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner with additional heated and covered tables on our outdoor terrace.
We opened in the summer of 2016 aiming to be a great neighbourhood restaurant and the ambition is still the same today.
Our kitchen team is led by Executive Chef Chris Bassett and Head Chef Clara Albano and on the floor a warm welcome awaits from the team led by our GM Kat Adams.

For larger tables, we offer a 3 course set menu at a fixed price. For Lunch £45 per person and for Dinner £65 per person. Please be advised that all within the group would be asked to dine on the set menu.
Our menu is written each day without any narrow geographical focus but based around the best produce we find. We aim to offer an ambitious mix of brilliantly-executed classical dishes and more unfamiliar and imaginative combinations.
Our a la carte menu runs all day whereas at lunch alongside it we also offer a ‘set lunch’ at £39 for 3 courses with three different options at each course.
On Sundays we offer both our Set Lunch menu and our a la carte as well as ‘Sunday Specials’ designed for sharing for those looking for a more traditional end-of-the-week lunch or dinner.
Wine has been central to what we do here at Clipstone since we opened in 2016.
Our focus is on wines which are interesting, well-made but most importantly a pleasure to drink. On the back of your menu you’ll find a frequently-changing ‘By The Glass’ list and to the side a separate (and lengthy!) bottle list. Both can be viewed below.
We have no specific regional or stylistic focus and aim to showcase wine in all its glorious variety, often featuring lesser well-known grapes and wine regions. Rest assured, we are also aware that ‘classics’ are called that for a reason and the below list also contains plenty of bottles from some of the world’s most well-regarded producers and regions plus we will always have a few of these special gems on by the glass too.
Clipstone does not have a private room but one open, airy dining room which can seat up to 40 guests. We are delighted to often host private hires for both corporate functions and family celebrations.
We can be completely bespoke on menu, drinks and table layout and each event is handled personally by Rachael, our head of Guest Relations from initial enquiry to the day of the event.
